Is this real or virtual?

What we can achieve with computer graphics these day, whether in computer games or in movies, has narrowed the gap between reality and the virtual world. The use of CG to recreate historic momuments or to depict life in the old days, offer people a glimps into what, many who live in modern cities would never have seen. Yet, while the gap between reality and the vitural world has narrowed, its seems that CG have not created greater awareness or a better understanding. Instead, it is the real that moves into the realm of the virtual. For example, a picture splashed on the webpage of the NYTimes.
