How much does public transport cost?
"SINGAPORE: SBS Transit has a new offering that works along the same lines as the bus stamps scheme that students used for unlimited bus travel that was stopped in 2002.
The new SeasonPass gives users unlimited trips on buses for $98 a month.
This new pass will benefit commuters who pay more than $3.30 a day for bus travel.
SBS Transit says it surveyed commuters and found more than half spend on average $3 or more a day on public transport and of these, 6 in 10 spend $4 or more.
The SeasonPass was unveiled by Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, Lim Boon Heng, at Toa Payoh. "

Reading the article the other day, set me thinking about the letter from PTC in the previous fare $72.60 & $45.32 per month, which works out to be average $3.30 & $2.06 (if we take 22 days) and $2.42 & $1.51 (if we take 30 days) respectively.
If as the survey indicates, more than 50% of customer spend on average $3 or more a month, and 60% spend $4 or more a month, then somehow, the PTC figure seem to be a significant underestimation.
