Dating
Was talking to EL the other day, about how people who choose to work in cities, tend to be people who are by nature, people who seek the possibilities for change, and for the presence of multiple opportunities. Being such people, they not only take their chances in their work, but often also in their personal life. Thus SATC type of mentality or life, becomes often the norm and not the exception. I am referring more to the attitude towards relationships, or partnerships, or companionships, or whatever one finds comfortable calling it or nothing at all, but it does not neccessarily have to involve sex per se.
WJ reminded me on friday, how while we attempt to be liberal in our ways, being open and flexible to certain values and lifestyles, I somehow feel that many of us still remain highly secretive about our own identities or our own inner-most personal thoughts. Not that such things should all be displayed, but clearly, the Sarong Party Girl's blog is in that sense far more superior; and she is in some sense far more brave. Like before, I guess there has always been a sense of respect for her.
Anyway, getting back to the somewhat complicated yet perculiar problem. What exactly does it mean to be dating? What kind of 'meeting' can be referred to as a date? Is going out on a date equivalent to be dating?
People don't usually refer to going out with frens as a date right?
So, who exactly does going out with a date refer to, and what does it really mean?
Interesting ain't it. haha.. maybe this is a simple qn made complicated, but what if its really a complicated question? haha...
